Post Title: Workshop Technician
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum
Working Location: Bicester (Fully On-Site)
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours.
Equation Recruitment are looking for a Workshop Technician on behalf of our well-established client in the Bicester area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the equipment and goods within the workshop area. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Receipt of parts and customer machines.
- Performing repairs and reports.
- Shipping and customer notifications.
- Scheduling work appropriately.
- Maintaining the on-site machinery for optimal efficiency.
Workshop Technician Responsibilities:
- Use defined regulations and drawings to carry out maintenance and repair activities.
- Complete inspection and repair reports.
- Planning, scheduling and tracking of workshop tasking.
- Use of CRM and the ERP system to support document storage and cost tracking requirements.
- Use of the spare parts identification and ordering system for effective parts control.
- Provide training and guidance to Junior Technicians.
- Ensure the workshop machinery is maintained, calibrated and operational to specified
requirements.
- Carry out pre-use checks and sign-off on all machinery.
- Ensure all processes and workshop activity are carried out in compliance with EOHS, COSHH
regulations and in line with the BC Quality Management System.
- Provide technical support to Customers and Colleagues as required.
- Complete packing and ensure transport is arranged.
- Support the Head of Service Centre and QEOHS with daily tasking as required.
Required Skills and Experience for a Workshop Technician:
- Time served, mechanical engineering-based apprenticeship.
- Further 3 years hands-on experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Experience using measuring instruments.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Ability with German and Swedish advantageous.
- Competence with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
