Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to advance your career in audit and accounts? Our client is a Top 100 UK Accountancy Firm, is seeking a motivated Audit and Accounts Senior to join their growing Corporate Services team!

They are one of the fastest-growing independent accounting and business advisory firms in the UK. They provide expert audit, accounting, payroll, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients, including academy schools, agriculture, landed estates, international businesses, not-for-profit organisations, property developers, and professional services. Their focus is on delivering bespoke solutions that drive success for their clients.

As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in providing high-quality audit, accounting, and related client services. Working closely with partners and managers, you will support a range of compliance and planning matters while also helping to develop and grow the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering audits and accounts preparation to a high standard.
  • Review and prepare client accounts, tax, and VAT-based work.
  • Undertake remuneration planning exercises.
  • Lead and supervise audit assignments, either on-site or remotely.
  • Handle technical client audit, accounts, and taxation compliance work.
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.
  • Ensure client deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Support and mentor trainees by providing on-the-job coaching and supervision.
  • Attend relevant training and professional development courses.
  • Engage in networking and business development activities.

What they’re Looking For

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting systems, including Xero.
  • Good understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Desirable: Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Essential: At least 2 years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Desirable: Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero).
